Terms and Conditions

Effective January 1, 2026

Watertown Concrete, concretewatertown.com, contact@concretewatertown.com

Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Watertown Concrete website and any estimate or job you book with us. By using the site, calling us or booking work, you agree to them.

If you don't agree with something here, please don't use the site or book with us until we've talked it through. A signed estimate or written agreement for your job wins over these terms where the two differ.

What we do

Watertown Concrete is a concrete contractor in Watertown, SD. We pour and finish driveways, patios, sidewalks, garage floors and other flatwork, which is any flat slab you walk or drive on. We also build steps, retaining walls, footings and foundations.

You'll find the full list of services on our home page, and more about who we are on our About page. What's on the website is general information, and the details of your own job come from the estimate we give you.

Estimates and pricing

We give free in-person estimates, and there's no pressure to book. We come out because the price depends on what we see on site, including the size and thickness of the slab, how much old concrete has to come out, how much digging and packing the subgrade needs, which is the ground the slab sits on, and the finish you choose.

Your estimate is based on what we can see before we start. If we open the job and find something we couldn't have known, like soft or wet soil under the old slab, we'll stop and tell you before doing extra work, and we won't bill for it unless you agree.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We'll give you a start date when you book, but concrete depends on the weather. We won't pour in rain, freezing cold or conditions that would leave you with a weak slab, so we may move your date and will tell you as soon as we know.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us as early as you can so we can release the crew and the concrete order. Any cancellation charges for materials already ordered will be spelled out in your estimate or agreement.

Payment

Payment amounts and due dates are set out in your written estimate or agreement. We'll go over them with you before the work starts so nothing is a surprise.

If a balance goes unpaid past its due date, we may pause further work until it's settled and may use the remedies South Dakota law allows to collect it.

Your property and access

You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to tell us about anything we can't see, like sprinkler lines, buried pet fences or where your property line runs. If something hidden isn't pointed out to us, we aren't responsible for damage to it.

We'll keep the work area as tidy as the job allows and clean up when we're done. Trucks and equipment can leave marks on lawns, and we'll talk with you beforehand about the best way in.

Curing and care after the pour

New concrete needs time to cure, which is the wait while it hardens to full strength, before it can take foot traffic or a vehicle. We'll tell you when it's safe to walk on and when it's safe to drive on.

Damage caused by using the slab too early, or by not following the care steps we give you, isn't covered by our guarantee.

Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover

Satisfaction is guaranteed on every job, and if something isn't right with our work, call us and we'll come look at it. Any written warranty for your job will be in your estimate or agreement.

Concrete can crack, and we cut control joints, which are grooves that give the slab a planned place to crack, so cracks follow lines we chose. We can't promise a slab will never crack, so hairline cracks, and damage from settling soil we didn't prepare, heavy loads, de-icing chemicals, freeze damage after the job, or work by others, aren't covered.

Beyond what we put in writing, our work and this website are provided without other warranties, to the extent South Dakota law allows.

Limits on our liability

Watertown Concrete is licensed and fully insured. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.

We aren't liable for indirect losses, like lost use of your driveway during curing or delays caused by weather, suppliers or things outside our control. Nothing here limits any right you have that South Dakota law doesn't allow to be limited.

Settling a disagreement

If you're unhappy with something, call us first at (605) 954-0565, because most problems get sorted out faster face to face on site than any other way. We'll come out, look at it with you and try to make it right.

If we can't work it out together, either of us may take the matter to the courts serving Watertown, South Dakota.

Governing law

These terms and any job we do are governed by the laws of the State of South Dakota.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time and will post the new version on this page. The terms in place when you sign your estimate or agreement are the ones that apply to that job.

How to reach us

Questions about these terms or your job can go to us by phone at (605) 954-0565, seven days a week from 7 AM to 10 PM, or through our Contact page. We reply within 1 business day.
